Tip of the Day: In Microsoft D365 Finance and Supply Change (D365 F&SC), have you ever had a user complain that they cannot attach documents or notes to a record. In other words, their Document Handling “paperclip” is greyed out. Well, that happened to me once. All the other users could use the “paperclip” with no problems except for this one user. Sometimes, you learn that it’s the little things that can cause big mysteries.

If a user cannot add attachments (the paper clip is greyed out), check the user’s User Option settings > Preferences > Set "Enable document handling" to yes.
If you're not logged in as the user, you can also access the user's User Options from System Administration > Users > Users.
